Benjamin Tallmadge and the Tallmadge Trail

After the British won the battle of Brooklyn and occupied Long Island, Major Benjamin Tallmadge led a series of successful military raids to harass the British troops. General George Washington also tapped Tallmadge to lead an espionage ring of Long Island spies.
