This classic melodrama focuses on the relationships between teenagers and parents and gives us a glimpse into the teenage rebellion and angst of the 1950s. James Dean stars as Jim Stark, a new kid in town who faces trouble at school and home while making both friends and enemies. Dean’s performance is iconic and led to his becoming the very definition of "cool." Tragically, Dean’s life was cut short on September 30, 69 years ago, at 24 years of age. He made only three films, including Rebel Without a Cause, which was released about one month after his death. The film also stars Sal Mineo and Natalie Wood.
