This classic musical, which takes place in the 1850s, tells the story of Milly who marries Adam, a man from the backwoods of Oregon, after a very brief courtship. After returning to his home, she discovers that he has six wild and unruly bachelor brothers who live with him. Milly sets out to teach the brothers manners so that they can find brides of their own. The film stars Jane Powell, in one of her most successful films, Howard Keel, and Russ Tamblyn and features the famous barn-raising dance sequence.
