As the school year begins, join us for a film that reminds us of the impact that a great teacher can have on our lives. The film tells the story of an aged teacher and former headmaster of a school for boys, Mr. Chips, as he recalls his career and personal life over several decades. Starting off as a strict and feared professor, he later falls in love and marries Katherine, who brings him out of his shell as he becomes a beloved and cherished educator. Nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, the film won for Best Actor in a Leading Role for its star Robert Donat.
