This classic John Ford romantic comedy, set in the 1920s, tells the story of a retired American boxer who returns to his native Ireland in an attempt to forget a tragic event in his past. There, he falls for a feisty redhead whose brother dislikes him.  Filmed in Ireland’s beautiful countryside, the movie was nominated for seven Oscars, winning two for Best Director and Best Color Cinematography.
