Saturday Night Live, originally known as Saturday Night, celebrates 50 years on the air this year.  Featuring a group of brilliant young comedians and writers, the groundbreaking show changed American television and culture forever when it premiered on October 11, 1975.  However, before the iconic opening line could be uttered for the very first time, producer Lorne Michaels faced chaos on the set that threatened to derail the show before its debut. Saturday Night recounts the drama behind the scenes in the 90-minutes leading up to the show’s premiere. Directed by Jason Reitman.
