Beginning in 2024 and continuing forward, Southampton Town has designated October 1 as Shinnecock Heritage Day. Join us for a special visit with a member of the Shinnecock Nation, Shane Weeks, to learn more about the history of this indigenous community. Shane has worked diligently to bridge the gap between members of the Shinnecock Nation and the local community. His book, Good Neighbors, explores local history through a Shinnecock lens and provides an introduction to the nation's traditions and culture.
