No director in the history of films has been as influential as Steven Spielberg. With a career spanning over four decades, he is widely considered one of the most successful filmmakers of all time. He is best known for epic blockbusters, such as Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and the Indiana Jones franchise.  In addition to his blockbuster hits, Spielberg is also known for emotionally charged dramas, such as Schindler's List, which won him his first Academy Award, and Saving Private Ryan.
