In 1962, Bob Dylan arrives in New York City with his guitar as a “complete unknown and quickly establishes himself as a rising star on the folk music scene through his close relationships with Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie and Joan Baez. The film chronicles the early years of his career and culminates with his ground-breaking electric guitar performance at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1965.  It is this performance that reverberates throughout the world and changes the course of American music. A Complete Unknown received eight Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and Best Actor in a Leading Role. Starring Timothée Chalamet, Edward Norton, and Elle Fanning.
