This heartwarming film tells the true story of a romance that blossoms between Kumail, an aspiring Pakistani comedian, and Emily, an American grad student, as they struggle with the differences in their cultures.  When Emily is hospitalized with a mysterious illness, Kumail is forced to deal with her feisty parents, his family’s expectations and his true feelings. Nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Starring Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan, Holly Hunter and Ray Romano.
