Based on the bestselling book by Daniel James Brown, The Boys in the Boat tells the inspirational true story of the University of Washington's rowing team in their quest for gold at the Berlin Summer Olympics in 1936.  Despite challenges faced by the Great Depression and being considered underdogs, the team prevails in beating elite teams from around the world to capture the gold.
