Did you know that in April of 1845, the Long Island whaleship Manhattan became the first American ship to enter Japan's waters in over 200 years? Celebrate America’s enduring appreciation of Japanese artistry by creating an ocean inspired origami scene.  *Pre-registration required. Patrons will be notified when kits arrive at the library and are ready for pick-up. Access to the program will be sent the day of the program.
