Route 25: Long Island's Route 66

Route 25 stretches from the very western part of Manhattan all the way to the Orient Point Ferry Terminal at the far eastern tip of Long Island's North Fork. Along the way, this iconic thoroughfare has different names (Jamaica Avenue, Hillside Avenue, Main Street, Queens Boulevard to name a few) but one common purpose: to stitch together the communities of Long Island and to provide a direct route for commerce and town identity.
