A Visit with Ken Gloss, Rare Book Specialist and Antiques RoadShow Appraiser

Join us for a discussion about the value of old and rare books.  Ken Gloss, a rare book specialist and proprietor of the internationally known Brattle Book Shop in Boston, will talk about growing up in the book business, share some of his favorite finds, talk about enjoying “the thrill of the hunt,” and explain how he appraises books and manuscripts.  He will share many fascinating anecdotes about private and institutional collecting as well as the guidelines for building and maintaining a significant collection. Following the presentation,  there will be a Q & A session and time for free verbal appraisals of books from your collection.
