A Visit with Walter Bernard, co-author of Mag Men

In Mag Men, Walter Bernard and the late Milton Glaser give a unique insiders’ perspective on their legendary careers in the magazine industry including the founding of New York magazine in 1968. Through their collaboration, the authors designed over 100 magazines and newspapers to capture a reader’s attention with vivid illustrations and graphics to complement the stories. On this occasion Bernard recounts some of their adventures at New York Magazine, Time and Fortune. Bernard and Glaser have received numerous prestigious awards including the Design Excellence Award for “unique and enduring contributions to magazines” from the American Society of Magazine Editors in 2013.
